That Year-Thing Ended Again...

Mostly, this entry is just to point to the fact that I managed at least 31 books this year.  Probably a couple more that I failed at keeping track of.
That is not 50.  And I'm ok with that.  (You can shut up now, WP and Faulk!)
A lot of the books were actually smart books about real things.  And those that weren't tended towards heavier reading, even ( Read more... )

I read 44, which is also not 50. I'm halfway through number 45 and didn't count another one because it was a comfort reread. Part of my New Year's Resolutions, which I don't normally do, is to venture into the world of Nonfiction with a vengeance. It's different than my usual escapist reading habits, but I did manage one of Amanda Marcotte's books last year and Christmas and my birthday have supplied me with both environmentalist and feminist books I'm determined to read in 2009. So I agree - making what you read count more than how much you read is probably the play. I just need to actually DO the reading.
