haha, wait, why is this surprising?

my father's favvvvvorite band growing up was yes, and i heard a good deal of prog rock as a wee bit, more than i could handle really! i totally have been religiously listening to rush for a while now. obviously, the electro-stuff is something i have been way into (but never really considered "prog", which whatever). these are the things that i dig. ya'll know whatz i'm sayin?

I just never would have guessed. I am really into that stuff. So much so that I would probably say that King Crimson is my favorite of all rock bands. You should also check out GONG ("camembert electrique" and "angels egg" imparticular) and Henry Cow.

i didn't know you were really into king crimson. but you know, at the same time, that's totally safe game and i can see you being really into them. they are truly great. my dad likes them quite a lot, too. i'm glad i had a dad that liked that kind of stuff (he was also really into sabbath, he actually had a sabbath belt buckle but lost it somewhere, & weird instrumental acid jazz), as opposed to a dad that listened to like asia or jimmy buffet. my mom liked pretty good music, too, but totally more new wave oriented type of stuff. i feel like i had a fairly fun musical upbringing.

i've heard a lot about gong and i've probably heard them, but i don't recall. i'll look into it, and henry cow as well... thanks for the suggestions!
