I totally believe that it's the teacher who is to blame for a whole class doing badly. I mean, if it was just a few people, then it isn't totally the teacher's fault, but if it's the whole class, then there is something seriously wrong with the teacher's style of teaching. Believe me, I've had my fair share of bad teacher's in the past, and although my grades haven't suffered all that much, I would have done a whole lot better if the teacher taught better.
HOWEVER, due to my getting into the play, many doubts have surfaced. I.e. what if I'm really not good enough to be in it at all? Perhaps I was just the person they felt sorry for and so put me this time because it's my last year that I'm eligible to get in it. Of course that's not the reason why they chose you! People don't choose actors just because they feel sorry for them; they have a whole play to think about, they can't think about ( ... )
