I'm happy that Betancourt was finally freed and I'm no fan of the FARC or any of the paramilitaries on the right or left, but to be proud of Uribe might be a bit much.
The man is fronting another corrupt regime funded by US tax dollars while he does NOTHING to stop the paramilitaries from murdering labor activists. Of course not, it's too convenient to have those men out of the way in order to get that Free trade Agreement with Colombia underway. Nothing to be proud of there.
you just took the words outta my mouth... i was gonna say, that the army posed as an NGO so now all the work that real ngos have done. i think the government should also think about the consequences and how to deal with them. they should be preparing for a response from the FARC.

it's almost as if he held back to and waited so he can show off how great the army was for the visit of the man who will NOT be the next President of the U.S. Don't you think it's awfully convenient that after all these years they managed to do the rescue when John McCain happens to visit? Uribe rescues American hostages and shows off for McCain the man who will push that FTA they want so bad.
which software is better
