Do you like mangos? Mango research...

Aug 13, 2009 18:36

I was scrolling through my RSS feeds and I found something from ScienceDaily that caught my eye:

Mango Seeds May Protect Against Deadly Food Bacteria

It's not super Latino-related, but I always like to know random things about food I eat and I thought maybe you might, too.

I don't know about that picture... Looks more like the cross section of a papaya. Mangos have one large seed. I think it's called a stone.

That is a mango. Grocery stores in Northern California sell those kind of mangoes. Are you used to only the orange-skinned kind or the green-skinned kind? We have those, too.
