Tooooooo easy... every man, woman, child and abortion can tell you what I'd recommend.

Is it a scary book? I'm under the impression that all of Stephen Kings books are scary in some way or form.

More suspenseful in my opinion. Its also a superb survivor type story.

OMG, yes, the Stand! It's one of my favorites... its only scary in the fact that something like this could happen someday. oh but it's also chock full of religous undertones... God versus the Devil type of stuff. But still AMAZING!

"The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle"

Was I the one that recommended that to you? I still haven't gotten more than a quarter of the way into it yet.

There's another one that I've been wanting to read called "Death of an Ordinary Man" by Glen Duncan. The review of it I read sounded really interesting.

Yeah it was you who recommended it. I actually had forgotten who had. It took me a long time to get through it too. It kind of drags on for a little bit there at the end, but I still found it to be a good read.

House of Leaves - by Danielewski

A very weird tale, written in a challenging style and format, kind of a book within a book within a book, about a family whose house is bigger on the inside than on the outside...but in a really creepy way.

Cryptonomicon - by Stephenson

An awesome tale that spans two time periods, with very quirky characters and a very complex plot. Hard to get into details without ruining it.

Thanks. They sound good although I'm wary of reading a style of reading that is challenging to read. In what way is it challenging?

Style of writing I mean..

It's challenging in that the format is like a manuscript written by one guy about the family whose house is all creepy, but that manuscript has another entire story in the footnotes, where the sort of main character is dealing with a lot of troubling things while reading, and sort of "through" the manuscript.

It's hard to explain, but a must-read in my opinion.
