I have been looking all over LJ for a good explanation of how to apply other's layouts (with giving credit of course) to my journal, and I haven't found any that are truly helpful. Do you guys have any good links or advice?

Please help, I have no clue what I'm doing.

if you guys go to livejournal FAQ it has some basics to get you started. it really takes a while, look at codes from communities that give out free codes and try to desipher them. or search for layout help, theres lots of communities with deailed explainations on stuff...
