I think I kind of have to yeah, Mr. M just doesn't have the same ring to it :) (what's with me and boy rats called Mr? T, B, C... can't any of them have real names?)
They're awesome names. I kind of like the SGA themed ones a bit better (but shhh, don't tell Vicky or else it'll get to her head ;)), but yours have a nice ring to them. :) Side note: I've read and translated too much latin back in high school -and hated it!- so my enthusiasm for anything even remotely related to Latin (or Ancient Greek) is uh...kind of a little bit dampened?
I actually didn't name Mr. B or Mr. C, they were already named when I adopted them, since I got them as adults. I tend to name in themes for fandomy stuff. I had Nicheodema first (rats of NIMH) Then Scully and Mulder, Sachs and Rhyme (Bone Collector), Martha and Clark Kent (Superman), Daisy Duke (Dukes of Hazzard), Merry Pippin and Rosie(LotR), Claire Littleton (lost), Sam, Janet, Jack, Daniel, and Mr. T, Aeryn, and now the SGA girls. None of the rats I plan to keep get nonfandom names, but I do have to admit to getting overly attached to a couple of nonfandom babies and keeping them instead of giving them away (smudge and elph were the sg1 guys sisters, but they didn't get sg1 names cause I figures keeping five was plenty, then I kept like 8 or 9 instead)
He's been pretty. Um. Old. Lately. I mean, we kept looking at him and going "why are you alive". And I guess he listened. I actually liked him, he was quite nice. Also sorta mad, in a really awesome senile type of way.
I heard you exclaim that "OMG YOU ARE MAXIMUS" this morning though.
meant to mention it, as I have bagged him up and stored him (in his cage) temporarily on the balcony while I decide what to do with him. wanted to make sure you knew I wasn't freezing him to death so much as preventing putrefaction.
He was just a bit mad toward the end there. Also today I fed him and when he didn't lunge at me poked the igloo and said 'come out or I'll start to think you are dead in there.' maybe I shouldn't have suggested that as an option?
He is! He is the one with less white, but I had forgotten how to tell them apart that way, I had been going by who was more grey/black than actuall black, and once (the real) Cerebus died, I didn't want to hold them side by side to see which one he was, so I guessed.
