If any of you have driven downtown recently you have probably noticed all of the construction going on around S. Tryon and Stonewall. The new construction is to house art museums and cultural facilities and should really spruce up an area that has been dominated by the presence of the convention center for quite some time now ( Read more... )

That would be really great. I just think that architecturally it may be the most beautiful structure in Charlotte.

i'm so proud of charlotte! the architect's name is mario botta. you should look up some of his other buildings. they are all bad ass.

i noticed last time i was in charlotte that the skyline has gotten a lot more interesting. i think that building is awesome but i can just imagine the bitching some people did.

i also noticed the skyline when i was in charlotte this weekend- are they building a new skyscraper or am i dense? that building is gorgeous. i had no idea they were building a new museum. yay :)
