I Wish I Could Go Back To College... Life Was So Simple Back Then

What would I give, to go back and live in a dorm with a meal plan again... sigh...

So, it's the first day of schoool, and going to school isn't on my list of things to do...  not today, not next week, not next month, most likely not even next year. I know that pretty much everyone going to school right now is wishing they were me, but oh, the grass

can you live at home while you save up money? (I'm also paying for college and having a summer free of bills and a few loans is the only way i can do it) You can also try applying for state or federal grants.

Does Towson offer any extra scholarships you could apply for? Or a fellowship, grant, something?

Who knows what the next semester may offer. Perhaps you'll land a fantastic job opportunity that could really help pay bills. Also, taking a semester off does put you at a bit of an advantage for some jobs so you're more likely to find something great that you'd miss because of school.

Emily, one of the philosophies I live by is that first comes the storm, and then God sends rainbows. In other words, through the bad, there is another plan for you and He'll show it to you if you're willing to listen.

I know that I'm fortunate to have parents who can send my brother and I to college and help me pay my rent and such until I graduate and am working full time. Not a day goes by that I'm not thankful for that. And you're right, it does suck that so many people are denied an education because they can't afford it, but you should maybe look into financial aid or something along those lines because there IS a lot of help out there for those who need it. I have a friend who goes here on it and she can't afford school without it.

Hang in there. Your dreams may seem like they're coming to a crashing halt, but you'll be fine. I have faith in you! :)

First of all, they should be paying YOU to go to their school. Emily is desirable in too many ways! You should check out towson's financial aid page, they have lots of vicious grants.
