I'm really liking Nigella's current TV series Nigella Kitchen. So far it has already inspired me to make two of its recipes, and there are a few more I'd like to try out. Tonight I did spaghetti alla puttanesca a.k.a. slut's spaghetti. It was very tasty. I'm quite fond of pasta with tomato sauce and it's nice to have several variations to choose

I couldn't fancy Nigella's black risotto. Her food is rather rich for me. I'm liking the new Nigel Slater series, though.

I rather like her rich food, because it is filling and stops me from becoming hungry again too soon after.

Black is a very unappealing colour for food. I don't know if squid ink adds a certain flavour, but I would prefer to leave it out. It just looks gimmicky to me.

I'll also have to overcome a mental hurdle before making the spaghetti with Marmite. I like the stuff, but the idea of spaghetti with Marmite is slightly off-putting.

The first episode of Nigel Slater's programme coincided with Sherlock here, but that's finished now, so I can watch it next Wednesday. Thanks for the tip!
