i'm trying to read a book but i can't say i'm interested in it at all. i don't enjoy reading fiction for school (under pressure). i'm sorry all english majors but i'm just too "media saturated" or whatever for your program. i'd much rather study film than books, and i'm sure none of you care because you'd obviously rather study books over film ( Read more... )

I think it can be easily easily argued that film is a far more complicated and difficult medium to study than literature, so don't feel bad Dominique.

I think it entirely depends on the film and on the book. It can go either way. I recommend that we don't generalize and generate hostile feelings toward one another by trying to argue that someones area of study is more difficult or complex than the other's. Obviously I like literature better and you "film majors" (dominique et al.) prefer movies. Rad.
