...

I made that entry private. I was sick of looking at it.

... I think my dad and I are pretending it didn't happen.

So that's great :/.

Maybe you should write him a letter. And make sure it's clear to both of you that it's not about this single incident, but the general way you treat each other. *hugs* If you wanna talk, you know where I am.

I'm actually thinking about that. But if he doesn't take what I say verbally to heart, why should it make a difference on paper?

Because then you're not screaming at each other, and you can be more rational and show him that you've thought things through. And you always say you're best with written words. And unless he's going to make fun of you, it won't hurt, right?

I agree, I think you should write a letter. I know it's hard because he doesn't HEAR you. But if you put apparent effort into a letter explaining everything you feel he needs to know, he will have no choice but to think it through. He has to sit down and take in EVERYTHING you have to say, without a chance to defend himself or rebut your comments. He will see how much you care--you wrote it up!

A letter might not work

but on the other hand - it might

its worth a shot...at least it gives you a chance to form your own thoughts and think things through to completion, maybe help you deal a little :)

I know. I mean, I'm a good write, at least I like to think so, but I don't know if he'd take it to heart, that's the problem :(

Well, all you can do is try honey, and see how you get on... I wish I had better advice!
