So... turns out, a friend of mine is marketting a big arts festival... and I'm now being photographed by this dude who does work for Vogue tomorrow. My fat, semi-nude body will be on buses and billboards.

The money ain't great, but surely being on the side of a bus (hopefully not on the back of one) around Brum ain't too bad..? Life is strange.

Well, so I'm told. I can well imagine that I'll be on a flyer, dog-eared and trodden on on a wet saturday afternoon... but I'm keeping my hopes high. ;)

How fun! What's the fesitival - is it Fierce? I had the chance to design posters and postcards for Fierce a couple of years back at uni, but didn't feel confident/inspired enough to submit anything because I'm crap.

I'm totally getting everyone I know in Brum to take photos of buses with you on them... *nods*

Yep - it's the Fierce festival. :) And you're not even slightly crap - I've seen your website/s! You're very talented, Carrie, and you can do anything. If I can get people to pay me to shake my cellulite at them, you can CERTAINLY design for Fierce!

And hell - I'm going to make a special trip to Birmingham and wait by a bus stop if I have to... ;)

Aw, bless you my dear - those are very kind words! But I never really think I'm any good and my spirits are feeling particularly trampled upon right now, hehe.

I remember the nice lady from Fierce who spoke to us (shockingly, I forget her name!) saying that Brum City Council wouldn't let them put up one of their posters of a half naked lady crawling down some stairs a few years ago. Fierce argued that Spearmint Rhino can put up considerably more explicit posters, but I don't think they won the fight. However, if that happens with you, I have every faith that you'll PERSONALLY kick the arse of any BCC member who DARES to argue! *laughs* xxx
