Photoshop can be a dangerous thing...

I thought I'd have fun with a pic of a blank DD-03 head.  Damn it, I like her even more than I thought I would!  The XIXth hairdo is mostly a place holder: I needed something that'd be easy to draw and that would cover as little of her face as possible.

Oh-oh! Thank you so much... and thanks again! I should play in Photoshop more often... I hope I'll find the time with the new job and all. And that's great news for the outfit! I hope it works out...

I thought I would show you what I've done of the the failed wig. :)
I went to see Emilie not too long ago and she asked me if I wanted it. I looked at it for some time when I got home before I started sniping at it and trying stuff with it. It really did look like a hat for some time, but then I think it got together nicely and I'm kind of proud of the final product. :) So, here's your creation with a few touch-ups:

Hey... it's much better than it used to be! I can actually look at it without thinking about Davy Crockett! ^_^

I like your guy's eyes...

The purple eyes or the painting? Because you're the one who painted his face. :)

A lot of gel and tape is involved in the wig. I think the problem is that the doubling is a very thick material, so it's hard to work with it.

On a side note, how have you been?

Oops! Just found this...

I meant the eye color. I do remember painting him. Your pic allowed me to show the results to mah Love!

I'm fine... work has its ups and downs, but the schedule is fortunately far from heavy.

Hehe somehow today I was spying on your journal and found this!!! A Dolfie Dream!! She looks great! She looks a bit like a kitsune (fox)
You should definitely paint her like this. Then she can hang out with my other DDs at a meet and take pictures together =D
Oh btw if you want these eyes in 22mm red or orange, I have them already but not using them, so I can sell them to you for... say 10$
You can even try them on first to decide if you like them or not. I have so many pairs of anime eyes, I should really sell the ones I'm not using.
... I want to be able to do that on photoshop too... *super jealous/envious of your talent*

Gah~ I just found your post! -_-;

I'll definitely get that little DD03 and most certainly tons of anime eyes for her! Thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on it! ^_^

I can't wait for her to be here... It's gonna take some time, though. I might order in November, but might also wait for December... The meet-up pics will then include more girls!

The best Photoshop tip I can give you (if you don't already know it) is to abuse of opacity change. It helps blending the lines and gives a more natural feel. I have to give you credit, though: the inspiration for the smile's shape comes from your own face-up. I always loved it! It's actually what convinced me of all the possibilities of the 03 mold.

Thanks for the kitsune comment, too! I take it as a great compliment as I wanted the girl to look a bit mischievous. ^_^
