Akumal and many wonders

Akumal was just as amazing as we had dreamt it would be!  Every day of the week we woke up to see the sun rise over the turquoise sea and every night we sat on long chairs, our feet in the salty water, admiring the moon as it lifted itself upon the horizon.

Hee pictures! XD Glad to hear about the job-resolution, too!
As for the mamey, I've never heard of it, or seen it at my usual rare-fruit spots, so probably you'll need to go into a specialised mexican/south-american grocery.

Thanks for the info!

I managed to find guavas in a small shop... They had tons of other things too but I didn't know mameys at the time so I can't remember if they had some... Now if only I knew how to find the shop again! A friend brought me there... I guess I'll have to ask her for directions!

It was a marvelous trip! Akumal is more than anything we could've wished for~! Now we'll have to figure a way to go back... XD

Your schedule seemed a little crazy when you started... I hope they didn't cut it too much... just enough to allow you some breathing time!

Depending on where you want to go, you could get some pretty good deals if you don't mind traveling during the low season. I know we saved at least a third of the price by leaving at the end of March instead of the middle of winter.
