the open mic my bestfriend is doing is on mondays out in ozone park qnz, along the A line. http://myspace.com/711mondays. I know mondays might be out the way for working folks but its really nice. only $5 a head and the vibe is great. you should come thru this monday, I'm gonna be performing!
