the Drummer's Grove in Prospect Park.

Snippet from the website:

"In 1968, the Congo Square Drummers began gathering here informally. Since then, the circle has expanded to include an ever-evolving mix of musicians, dancers, and vendors. The growing popularity of this area as a site for a weekly drumming circle inspired the Prospect Park Alliance to add seating and officially name the site. Anyone is free to bring their drums and participate, or just stop and listen while passing by on the East Drive."

Girl when I saw that Ginuwine and Joe I damn near flipped out! Those are my NIGGAS. Whew lawd. I'll check back to see what wingate has going on. Check out the website for the First Saturdays @ Brooklyn Museum . They have details on upcoming events and stuff. The Botanical Gardens are right next door so you can go see the pretty flowers then go next door for a lil culture.

Williamsburg is poppin in the summer too. There are a TON of bars, lounges, clubs & restaurants down there that are free and theres always some good music down there. I went on a date there a few years ago and we just lounge/club hopped for hours before taking a walk and then heading back home.

Oh and Sea Thai. Girl, you gotta go there with me one day. They have some bangin ass food for good cheap prices. The restaurant is really, really pretty too.

girl that re/dress spot I listed up top is all plus size ish. we're on the smaller end of the sizes but they do have good stuff from what I've heard. The Goodwill in the same area has some good steals in there too. I got my wilson leather blazer out of there for like $40 bucks one time. When you get paid you should come down by my job. Theres a ton of lil stores on Nassau street that have cute and cheap shit. Oh and Conways girl. Dont sleep on Conways for ya staples!
