berkeley's bad weather and creepy trees without leaves scare me...o yeah, and the heightened sense that laid back hippies may come out in the night and tar and feather me if they find out i'm conservative...

My parents took my brother and I to a Paul Simon concert when I was little and we both were bored out of our minds and I slept through all four encores (my brother was all mad at me because he had to be awake while Paul Simon just kept coming back onstage again and again and again and again)

haha! that sounds almost as bad as when my parents bought one of those "year long familiy ticket packs" to the La Chamber orchestra. Nowadays, I might actually enjoy it, but when I was five, having to go to Bach concerts once a month was like being locked in solitary confinment on Alcatraz Island for a night. My parents thought I would learn about the great mucisians of the world and become a piano child prodigy. The only thing I really learned was that I was actually quite good at entertaining myself when pushed to extremes levels of coma inducing boredom.
