A copy of the Lost pilot is available on suprnova.org (a bit earlier than expected) and I grabbed it. I've gotta say: wow! Besides being thoroughly impressed by what I think was a quality ensemble performance and wanting to alternately lick, hug, and punch Charlie, I noticed that the files are unnecessarily big, and while big, high-quality files ( Read more... )

I just want to say you're very welcome to everyone who thanked me. It's my pleasure.

I'll try to do this throughout the season if people want me to, but be warned that the episodes are usually only available a day or two before - unfortunately.

(Didn't want to flood everybody's mailboxes just to say that though.)

It could be in a number of places - suprnova.org, another torrent site, IRC. I'll post a link when I find it.

I'm going to give it a go too! Had some trouble getting it to start with Mozilla browser, but in IE worked like a charm. Wow, much faster download! Just started and it already says just 1 hour left.

Anyway, thanks! BTW... how do you capture an episode? I aspire to be a future video addict. lol

Mozilla! GLEEEE!!! Love, love, love. Like, Mozilla = Hot sex. Sorry, I'm probably scaring you by now. BitTorrent associates with Moz with me, so perhaps you just need to restart?

Making screen caps is a pain in the ass for me. I think I just haven't found the right program. I tend to use the built in capture feature of Intervideo DVD software for DVDs and SnagIt for everything else, but it's irritating, to say the least. Hopefully somebody else will chime in.

Woohoo! *does happy chicken dance* I love Mozilla! We'll have to have threesome! lol!

Now, screencaps is no problem for me. I use WinDVD. Has a Capture button it. Saves batches in number order, .bmp. Still have to rename and change them to .jpg in Photoshop, but it's a piece of cake. What I want to learn how to do is snag the episodes directly from TV. Like say the videos that we are downloading here or when Lost comes out. Make any sense?

The best way is with a video capture card. Failing that, you're stuck with doing it the way I do--using a USB input (from my VCR or cable to the computer). Much lower quality.

Or you can use a DVR, of course, but it's going to be a while before I can afford one.
