OK, first of all, I have a community specifcially so I dont get my personal journal harassed with requests.

Second of all, If you told your friend you would make him a layout, then YOU should make one and not bum one off of someone elses talent. He can just as easily go to a community and request one like evryone else - its not that hard to do (look, even you did it).

I would appreciate it if you wouldn't use my persoanl journal for your layout requests .. its just rude. if your friend wants a layout you can refer him to my community or any other layout community on LiveJournal.

So tell your friend to join Custom__Layouts and then go to the user info page (where he joined) and clik on the small button near the top of the screen that looks like a pencil/pen. This is how you post to the community. make sure you explaint o him he needs to read all of teh rules of the community.
