Brush Tutorial
Hilarious, I just deleted my last entry with my latest batch of icons. Haha oh well. ANYWAY!
I know many of you have asked how I made the pattern I use in some of my icons and here's how. I found these patterns on through google. I'm not exactly sure of the site. Anyhow instructions and brush set are behind the cut!
This is how I do it using Adobe Photoshop.
001. Save image.
002. Open image in Adobe PS.
003. Using the marquee tool (the dotted line tool on your palette), select the first pattern. When I mean select, I mean draw a box around the entire pattern using the marquee tool (as if you were goint to cut it out).
004. Once it is selected, go to Edit, followed by Define Brush Preset....
005. A box will pop up. Simply rename it as you wish and press OK.
006. Now you can find the brush you made where all your other brushes are stored.
