I think it's pretty safe to say that every girl who has ever been to high school has probably read or heard of Speak, by Laurie Halse Anderson. They made a Lifetime movie of it. It's on TONIGHT, so watch it.

You should watch it anyway. And then buy the book and read it (or not, whatever). It's really good.

i actually haven't read or even heard of the book, but i'm so glad i watched it last night. it's really one powerful story, i hope it helps many.

Isn't it amazing? It's on a lot of summer reading lists now, but I think it should be a mandatory reading for everyone. It's such a moving story. I'm sure it's saved so many lives...

DUDE. I knew she lived around, but I didn't know where. I'm so jealous! I would kill for a signed copy. That book did so much for me in high school. And one of my friends and my cousin and my sister. That woman has saved lives with her stories.

Dude, my friend and I happened across it at the very beginning while channel flipping and wound up watching it. It was all sorts of sad, inspirational, and all else.
