First day of orientation

Sep 02, 2003 22:36

Well, today was my first day of orientation at Schulich. What can I say... unfortunately, I expected something more... maybe it's just me... but I found the whole thing a bit disorganized... ( forgive me for the sarcasm and the disorganization of the post, I'm pretty tired )

Ah, mais c'est la vie! Most things like this are surprisingly unorganized, no matter how much you let your mind wander about how wonderful it'll be. Sarah had JD orientation yesterday too, she said it was awful.

Anywhoo, as an extra little note, pilates is like aerobics mixed with yoga. It's rigorous, and yet somewhat relaxing. It's fun, at least, I like it :).

well... m'dear, I would hardly compare JD orientation with a an orientation for business school.

thanks for letting me know about pilates... aerobic exercise's a pretty good idea... or at least I need it.

good luck with your school tomorrow :) let me know how it goes

i've just got back home from my frosh week event.. it was pretty good. the UBC organizaed a dinner at a seafood restaurant at Yonge and Qween's Quay, then we had a boat cruise which was great. We had all styles of music there, various drinks and so on.. that was like a party, actually, we were definitely enjoying ourselves :) on the whole, i don't regret getting into all my frosh week activities, well, something was really organized in a stupid way, like lines for food and the wrong information about the meeting place, but still..
i just wanna say that all these fosh weeks and orientation weeks are the same, we had also had the dean speaking, but he was just reading something out loud, so i didn't like it. but meeting new ppl was so much fun..
maybe i'll have a chance to tell u about our frosh week later.

p.s. we still don't have the classroom numbers for our lecturees, and nobody knows where to go on monday :)
