I just didn't see a point, all it would do is make a bunch of kids feel even shittier about the next 1-4 years of their lives. Its not raising awareness, its raising confusion or grief. Its not as if they could even talk to us about it, they have to go to class. Thats not action, its a gesture. I don't even necessarily think its stupid as a gesture, just ineffectual.
yeh, i dont know what the plan of action was supposed to be...? but personally i think it's a pretty good article, i think if you wanted to i would suggest making copies of it and handing it out at school. i agree with david that it may be confusing to some but i'd like to think it would at least give some kind of peace of mind or hope or inspiration or something (which is highly valuable during high school years b/c... well... its damn near fucking impossible to find any of those things anywhere in such a 'prison'-like state) to those who may have already noticed how shittily they are treated and don't see it as anything 'normal' or 'valid
