FIRST off, way over half, if not all, of the people who pledge are under 18 - they dont know what they're getting into. secondly, most of them feel pressured into it and feel obligated because of their family, religion, school attended, or peers. that might explain why (in studies i myself have read) that 88% of pledges break their promise. thridly, i hope this little entry of yours wasn't directed at me, because of me, or anything related to me.

I can't believe anyone would try to get away with defining "true abstinence" like that. That's like saying "Twinkies are, in fact, purple, because purple is the new orange-yellow."

Besides, if you're gonna pledge abstinence, just get a good vibrator. It'll be your best friend through the hard times (or lack thereof)...
