I enjoy having time to myself and my husband not being around sometimes. I love him and love when he's around but I think it's normal to be ok with being on your own from time to time.

He's involved with Nascar. That's not a "from time to time thing" that's a good chunk of time each year thing.

I think so, too! I just don't think other married couples I know understand or want to think of life w/o their SO there ALL the time. I honestly think I'm so used to this relationship, that I'd be nuts if we were 2gether con-stant-ly. (That happens between Nov-Jan or Feb, lol).

Welcome!

It certainly takes a certain kind of person to understand the dedication with anything, especially a job. That definately says something about your relationship. What does he do for Nascar? My brother is very involved with a local circuit, so I'm familiar with the whole racing scene.

Congrats on the baby... do you know what you are having?

Thank you for the welcome!

My husband is a spotter for the #6 team for Cup, Busch and Truck with Rousch Racing. That is cool that you know a lot, too! I think I saw that you added me, lol, which is great! B/C I was going to ask if that was ok with you. :) What does your brother do with racing, and which circuit?

And thanks for the baby congrats! We actually don't know *yet* - we tried, lol, but the baby wasn't fully cooperating. :( We have a 3D ultrasound scheduled for 7/17...the baby BETTER cooperate, or a lot of ppl will be disappointed with not knowing which color clothing to buy. ;)

My brother races in ARCA. It's just local, he races a Late Model. I grew up around racing, as my Uncle was a driver as well. My brother is pretty good though, he was the Season Champion last year. He's leading the points right now too.

That job your hubby has, has got to be an amazing job! So cool. My brother would be very jealous.

Can't wait to hear more about your baby details! My hubby and I are going to start TTC next month!

I added you... see you on the flipside.

Hi Nicole! Welcome!!!

I know about husbands being away from home... lol... I'm talking to mine over instant messenger right now as he's up in Maine and I'm in Tennessee. He's a touring musician and he's often away more than he's home. I know what you mean about just being used to it. I am, too. It works just fine for us. I get annoyed when friends get all worked up if they are away from their boyfriends/fiances/husbands for more than a day. But then I realize, it just takes a different person to handle the life of a spouse who is away a lot. Nothing against them or against those of us who do live the life. We're all different, and that's okay!

I'd be interested in friending you if you want. Share tales of times at home alone. :)
