Uhhhhh. Our problem is not "men." That would assume that every other member of the community is a female in a hetersexual realtionship. I'm not really sure what is the point of this post, otherwise.

He's like this in another community he's in that I know of as well. He really has no point, he just likes to create trouble and attention for himself.

to qualify: you say a lot of things i agree with. on the other hand, your "i'm gonna lay it out for these dimwitted 20-something bitches" will get you nowhere. nobody's going to fall at your feet in gratitude just because you're right.

and look -- i understand the disparagement of "mutual hand-wringing," and "empty words of sympathy." it often seems as if people post their woes for a gaggle of women to read and empathetic noises instead of getting off their asses and doing something, or trying to understand their men, or whatever. however, YOU have to understand that women have this behavior we call "sharing." it's this thing we do, and although it's not a results or solution-driven activity, it can be helpful for its own sake. pot-kettle-black.

I completely agree with the note about sharing. That is a very common coping mechanism among women. Just HEARING that another person has experienced what you have experienced does worlds of good.
