aw matt! you can't leave, we have to graduate together!, i wish you and your family the best of luck in getting everythign figured out, and i really hope you get to stay here in winter springs because i would miss you too much if you left. <3

A constant struggle. The difference between having strong convictions and acting on them... particularly difficult when you are a high-schooler in small-town USA. Typically, in our situation, the real change comes in dramatic, life-altering decisions... easier said than done, to be sure. For example... I "choose" not to shop at Wal-Mart because of their business practices, but, honestly, I rarely shopped there before I made that decision, and would have a much more difficult time giving up something thhat really mattered to me (case in point... I am still an omnivore). My biggest issue is that I see issues in a "seperate" sort of way, i.e. I rarely personally invest in the issues I see in the world.
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Again... easier said than done. Good luck Matt, and just remember that at least you have opinions and convictions, which can not be said for the vast majority of the student population.
