"Stupid! Stupid stupid stuuuupid stupid stupid STUPID!" Savannah screams the word until it loses its meaning, just becomes sound. The volume and the tinny, echoing effect from the four bare cinder block walls don't help her headache in any way ( Read more... )

Now that's interesting. There is something in the cell next to hers, too smooth liquidy shape vaguely like that of a for-legged creature that's restlessly pacing across the cell floor.

They've learned to gas Mirror whenever they need to do anything.

What's even more interesting: It has no visible bone structure. All thick liquid shape.

"Whoa". She's scared at first, then fascinated. What in the world is that thing? An animal made completely of mercury? What do they do to prevent it slipping right down the drain, or going through the slot in the door? She peers closer, trying to see a closer structure or cells.

Whatever it is, it's so non-specialized that it's somehow very much alive. They're all clung together, shifting about constantly as it moves.

As for how it's kept in the cell? The 'liquid' it's made of is too thick to get through the strainer in the bottom of the drain in its sink, and the door is sealed in place.

This is to say nothing of how much of a maze the plumbing and air ducts is. (Plus, going through the air-ducts was stupid on its part anyway, that's where the fucking gas comes out).

It keeps pacing, restless, stopping and glancing towards the door irritatingly. Or seemingly so, from the general body language.

Savannah wonders how long it will be until she ends up like this creature - pacing back and fourth, staring at the door...will she start looking forward to people coming down the hall for her? She hopes not.

She gets up, a bit unsteady, and pads bare-footed over to the left wall. She knocks on it, calls out, then again, louder. The walls are too thick for most to hear though, but she thought she'd give it a try.
