With the incident that occured in Reality Vanish only a few days ago, Zero was heading to go check up on X. He knew how X normally got after Uprisings were over, and wanted to make sure he was doing alright. Raising a hand, he knocked on the door to X's quarters.

By this point, X was not really in the mood to answer his door. So he wasn't going to. If it was something important, they could call him, or something. And the really important people had the override code to his quarters anyway.

At the moment, X was curled up in one corner of the couch, downing another glass of rum and coke and randomly flipping through television channels, even though the sound was off. His music system continued to play on shuffle, though the volume was low.

Using the override code is exactly what he did. Zero wasn't about to leave X alone while he was worried about him. The door opened after he input the code and he entered X's quarters, glancing around to try and spot where X was. He heard the music before he noticed X sitting on the couch.

"Hey X." He waved at X slightly when he did spot him and moved to sit down on the couch next to him.

X hmm'd a little as he heard Zero's voice and waved lazily over his shoulder as he flipped the channel again. As Zero took a seat on the couch, X took another drink from his glass before speaking.

"'ey."

"Mrph." X replied eloquently as he shifted to curl against Zero. The physical contact of Zero rubbing his back, combined with the warm haze of alcohol, was soothing and relaxing. And it was reassuring to have Zero here, making sure he was okay, telling him he'd done his best.

It was nice to have someone to lean on.

Zero chuckled softly and took that as a positive sound with the way X was snuggled up against him. Of course he was going to be there for X when he needed him, since X would do and had done the same for him in the past. After a few moments of more back rubbing, he quietly asked, "Getting tired?"

"Mrr... muzzy. 'ink I drank too much..." X mumbled as he tucked his face into the crook of Zero's shoulder. He nuzzled absently as he snuggled a little closer.

Zero couldn't help but smile as X snuggled closer to him. "Do you want to head to bed?"
