[Locked to X and Phantom]

X looked again at the information on the datapad he was carrying. He still wasn't sure how this would go over... He was already pretty sure he didn't know all of what he was getting into with this idea, but... It felt like the right thing to do

In the simulator's live zone, Phantom was a small dark blur that occasionally seemed to briefly defy gravity as he hurled glassy-looking plasma projectiles at swarming hordes of drones and dispatched others with a wicked-looking blade similar to one of Harpuia's shortswords. Despite the dozens of adversaries, he was still unarmoured.

Not reacting to X's entrance, he continued to twist and leap and slash his way through the swarm until the last drone fell. Then, deactivating his weapons and promptly subspacing them, he turned towards X and half-bowed before standing relaxed.

"Am I required ...?"

X merely leaned back against the wall and watched Phantom's session as the smaller reploid tore through the ranks of enemies. At the bow, he straightened up with a blink.

"Ah, no, not really. I just hoped we could talk a bit, if you have the time. I can wait if you'd like to keep going with your training sim, though."

"No, this is enough. I only wished to slip in a bit of practice before the simulator was required for Hunter training; I can return later. In any event, too much practice and certain Hunter personnel will see me, and then I will have to deal with the fallout."

There was a certain tone to Phantom's voice that suggested he'd rather avoid that at all costs.

"I would be more than happy to talk; what of ....?"

X tilted his head to the side a little. "Fallout? Still not used to people worrying about your safety, are you?"

X pushed away from the wall to approach Phantom now that the simulation run was finished.

"Well... there's a few things I'd like to ask you. Though, maybe we should discuss this somewhere else more comfortable?"

After parting ways with Phantom, X made his way down the hall toward Harpuia's quarters. It was one of the most likely places to find him, next to Phantom or X's own quarters.

Arriving at the door, he knocked and triggered the key panel to let Harpuia know someone was at the door.

"Hello ...?"

The voice coming over the keypanel's intercomm was startled, if not necessarily skittish. Apparently Harpuia hadn't been expecting a visitor --

"Hi. It's X. I hope I'm not catching you at a bad time, Harpuia?"

The door swished open a moment after X spoke -- revealing a slightly rumpled and drowsy-eyed Harpuia blinking up at him.

"No ... I was oversleeping anyway, I think."
