Europa! Europa!

Erin and I are starting to plan our European excursion. We've got the travel books, talked to a travel agent, and we're slowly starting to narrow down our options. Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Cologne were the cities we started out with. Amsterdam, Brussels, and Cologne (ABC) form a triangle, which is roughly 2 hrs travel time between the 3 ( Read more... )

We're considering a trip to London again. Pretty much the only reason I ruled out London was because it's crazy expensive.

If we do go to London you'll have to promise to meet up with us and show us the sites. We can be silly American girls together!

And sure, I'll take that Guinness. :)

Who's Erin?

PS If you're going to Paris, take lots of money. It costs about $15 for a bag of chips, and about $300 for a sachet of ketchup to put on it. Excluding tax. And excluding the bag.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Who is this Erin person that you speak of?

Erin is my friend, naturally. You're so crazy silly Steve that you make me l-o-l all over the place!

Is Paris more expensive than London? Because from all the research I've done, it seems London is more expensive.

Also, I know a bit of travel french. Enough to get us around. I don't know English, because I'm American. I'm pretty sure if we went to London, we'd surely get lost due to the language barrier.

Case in point, remember when you and I talked on the phone, and I needed you to speak in your American accent so that I could understand you? The entire country probably sounds like you, and that means we're fucked.

Would your people understand me if I made the motion of a steering wheel and said "beep-beep"?

Man, I thought Julia was your friend. Dude, you swap friends more often than I swap socks. And I've swapped my socks at least 4 times this year.

If you did the beep beep thing, some people might think you're taking the piss and batter you. Make sure to only do that to small, weak people you could beat up in your sleep. Just to be safe.

If you miss the train in France, say "Merde!" That's what they say when they're upset.
