Today I learned to play sungka for the first time. Well, I didn't learn but I started getting some of the concept. After counting for 20 minutes I found out that running out of stones (shells) wasn't the end of the game, but only the end of the first chapter ( Read more... )

I think it must be.. seven 'houses' of seven shells and a home at each end. You both start together, which made for a big disadvantage for me, because those shells are tiny in my hands. The board we play on is labelled 'baguio city'. My friend is from cebu, but she's been one of the 'outsiders' in your city.

I thought I was doing good until I completely emptied all of my houses (which I thought meant the end of the game), but then we counted out the shells again and started over, and since one of my houses was empty, apparently that meant she could win completely.

It is the sungka I know. Are you familiar with Nokia 3310? There's a cellhpone game there called Bantumi. Pretty much like sungka only that it has five houses. =)
