If not for a piece of red tape slapped on the wall, you would've had a hard time figuring out exactly where you were supposed to be going. Some agent or technician cleaning up around here must've had a hell of a sharp eye. With the location marked, though, you can see what caught their attention. The concrete wall here is just a few shades ( Read more... )

It hadn't been since his first mission that Roger had worked with Hellboy, and if it had just been him and other BPRD members on the team, he would have probably felt almost excited about getting to spend some time on the job with him after such a long time. Unfortunately, the two kids were there. He'd never met Warren or Hatako before, and had no idea what sort of people they were; still, they were friends of Liz, and just as Roger was hoping that nothing tragic was going to happen on the day's mission, he told himself that Liz wouldn't have befriended someone evil.

Tattered jeans, black tee and no leather coat. Hey. It'd been a gift and he wasn't losing it. Slinking up, hands deep in the pockets of his jeans. Surly looking, his hair down and falling in his face.

"Yo.'

Yep, warm greeting that.

Roger cocked his head to one side, giving Warren an brief visual inspection. His roughly-hewn features did little to express whatever was on his mind as he greeted the young man.

"....Hi. I'm Roger. You are....?"

"Warren...' He sighs, rolling his eyes. "Warren Peace. I'm Liz's sorta but not really kind of adopted son type thing.' Babbling is so going to help. "Oh yeah and pyrokinetic in training thing."

The air in the hallway is stale and heavy and you're footsteps echo as you walk along the concrete floor. A sliver of light trickles out of the hallway to your right. As you near the T junction you see that the source of this light is a single wall-mounted emergency lamp. It seems to cast more shadows than light at the moment Either the battery on this light is incredible or something triggered it to go on recently.

You arrive at the T junction and can now see down the corridor to your right. About 10 feet down this corridor is a rusty gate which blocks your path. You can see beyond the gate, but the corridor seems to dead end just past it. Dark shadows make the end of the hallway difficult to see.

HB looks around the hall and down the junction to the right.

"Ok, you guys wanna start checking doors and I'll get this gate out of the way?"

Hellboy has a bad feeling about this whole thing, but imagines it's just because he's working on his birthday and this should really be a job for a cleaning crew or engineers.

Roger nods, turning and starting on the door closest to the group. If it opens easily, he'll do a cautious scan with his flashlight before entering. If it's blocked, he'll attempt a more forceful entry.

Upon closer inspection you find that the door directly opposite the blocked hallway is made of thick heavy-duty stainless steel and will not budge. The other doors are made of a lighter material, but still pretty sturdy. Only two of the doors in the hall are openable. They are marked on the map:
