Labels for life or change your outlook?

People who see someone and right from there just "label" them, without giving the chance to get to know any better of them... tend to bother me at times. It's like, when they see someone walking they're just like "Oh that person's goth" or "Oh look at how she dresses, she must be a slut". I mean, everyone assumes things of people they don't know,

1. I would get to know them. I dont care what you dress or music you listen to. If I think you are a cool person than that is what matters. I dont like labeling people but I do sometimes.

2. If I had to label you I can't really. You are Courtney, when I have friends i can't label them because they are who they are to me. when I met you I thought you were a kool chick, my impression has changed then when I first met you. I respect you and I love talking to and hanging with you.

If you are going to label someone atleast do it right. There are defitions for labels and many people dont use them correctly. A prep isn't someone who dresses from Aeropostale or w.e. its someone who acts like they are better than everyone else. etc...

I hate it when people call me "goth," "freak" I am not a label, I am who I am. I wear what I want, I dont just shop at Hot topic, I dont just were those clothes. I dont just listen to metal. I am not a label, I am Ashley Sarah McGovern.

yah im like that alot too tho... i do judge ppl sumtimes but what they wear. mainly the girls who like to show there whole bodies off i ussally call a slut. but their the only ppl that i thnk i judge. and yah court u are making a point all ppl do is label other ppl. im right there with u. i can dress in joshs clothes 2dy and then 2mrw be wearing normal girls pants and a shirt that isnt baggy and the next i cud wear my echo outfit and i will be called a poser by sum1 out there. and its sad that everyone in this world takes time out to jundge others or "label" them.
