Assuming that's the Cutty Sark I think you'll find it's a ship.
It's the best shot of the three IMO, but I'm torn as to whether I like it or not. I think I'd rather see a snippet later so you can see a little more of her face (assuming she turns back forward) and perhaps a portrait crop?
You're not supposed to see her face; I posted two pics of the young lady here before, and you couldn't see her face in either of those. I don't expect you'll ever see her face here :-/
...maybe it was a ship once, now it's more a pile of rotting planks
The move back has been set back a little. Have got a 2 month contract where I can work from home. So no need to move just yet. Will have to see how things go.
I’m in two moods about my old flat. It was Ok but lots of things I didn’t like about it. I couldn’t have held on to it even if I wanted to as it was costing me loads and being a landlord was proving to be stressful and expensive.
Not sure about Whitby. I’d like to pop down for a day, catch up with a few friends and drive back. Will have to see how work goes.
I sometimes feel like a landlord @ X-Mansions, even though I rent only a room. Being a landlord can be stressful, but property is one fine investment. Single bed flats are £180/week in Crouch End :-(
Ah, the likelihood of that is somewhat remote. Not to worry. :-)
We were at a photoshoot yesterday at this place called Venture. They entice you into having it done with displays of ultra-modern shots around the local shopping mall or supermarket saying you could get a free photo. The photos they have on display are all massive posters, but when you get there you have the photos done & then they hit you with their price list. A single 7x5" shot costs over 200UKP, and an album with 15 shots nearly 1500 quid. Needless to say we're not buying at those prices. I was wondering about maybe having some good shots done then getting them printed & framed ourselves. These guys are obviously a rip off at half the price. Our wedding photos only cost 500 and we thought that was expensive at the time.
There are lot of places in shopping malls that do cheap shoots. £200 basic rising to £1500 is just insane ...I'd be expecting David Baily for that. There was a photographer in our local shopping centre recently, I can't remember whhat he was charging though - I will make a point of noting down his prices next time I see him.
When I was thinking about doing CV photos for actors, the general price was £250 for 4 10x8's. The shoot was up to 3 hours, studio or location. Student prices were 1/2 that. So that's a guide for how much pro photographers charge for portraits. I would expect £100-£250 including enlargments for a portrait set depending on the experience of the photographer.
Depending on what you got, £500 for a wedding is pretty good. Weddings are expensive and they are pretty demanding of the photographer to get right. If I were to do a wedding, and I don't plan to as they are very stressful, I'd charge £500 (incl. an album of photos)...

X-Mansion will be different from the last time you were here. There will be a sofa and TV upstairs, like a 2nd living room.

The young lady doesn't like having here photo taken, so it's fitting I have another one where you can't see her face.
it was pretty dark, so I couldn't get the ship in focus. I wasn't actually expecting it to be so out of focus until saw it when I got home though.
