They are indeed scary.

I am sure they were following me, everywhere I turned there were pipers ... some standing next to each other trying to out pipe one another ...

It gets even weirder when you can hear pipes while you're walking down the river to the botanic garden, which is more suburban. I worked out that I overheard someone practicing in their back garden. I feel for his neighbours.

Maybe I shouldn't be so mean ...although I did come accross this group as they were warming up :-/ I did eventually give them some cash and made a swift exit. Of course, I then passed 4 more on the way to the gallery.
