Ah it keeps you on your toes. My boss came in as I posted it, which meant I could't immediately fix the HTML errors ... I'm at Uni too :-)

I'm at uni too, and we're encouraged to look at pics of half naked women!

I just sold my Dad's one on eBay for £220. They are cheap as chips these days. I might sell my one too. I want the 400D. Of course, a newer model with more features will be out next year ...

Stardust is quite a family film, but has something for everyone. The jokes/humor isn't dumbed down like a lot of American comedies. I also thought the FX helped the film rather than overpowering it, which is sadly the case with most Hollywood block busters

Is this the same girl?

Odd shooting someone half-nekkid and not knowing who they are...

PS Did you ever post your photos from that night?

Yes that's the gal. Only there was a *tiny* bit more light at Volupte ... My pics from Halloween are all a bit of a mess - it was just too dark :-(

You can see it was a fairly long exposure from the lights... Good old gin steadies my hands :-)

My hands realy shake! I've noticed that when I'm using my lenses with I.S. I can still see the image moving, so the I.S. can't quite cope with my hands shaking :-(((((

I will look back at the Halloween pics though. I at least have a decent pic of Kieran :-)

The answer to the lens problem is to buy them second-hand. There are loads of Canon EF lenses around, and if you're feeling indulgent with care you can buy a used "L" for around the price of a new cooking EF lens. None of my lenses were bought new; the 85mm f1.2L at £600 is my most expensive eBay purchase to date!

"85mm f1.2L at £600"

Was a *very* good deal. I don't know where to look for lenses other than eBay and FredMiranda. eBay is too expensive second hand and buying from the states means paying lots of VAT and import duties :-(

I'd like a 70-200 I.S. (I have a Sigma 70-200, which is excellent, but I.S. would help a tonne), but they are rare on eBay and about $1400 from the states (I need to figure out how to get it here without paying TAX)

My 70-200 LIS was, I think, around £900 from LCE in the Strand. There are some bargains out there, but you've got to be very patient. I keep track of things on eBay and occasionally something goes for less than the others around it. Just the way that auctions work. But yes, the sinking dollar makes a shopping trip to the US very attractive! ;-)

The US definately has better prices new and used. If I ever make a trip out there again, I'll also make it a shopping trip :-)

Camera lust, it's a bad thing. Although, maybe in a year when I've got the career thing sorted out a lil', then maybe I can afford that 70-200 I.S. I'd like one of those 1Ds mkIII's too ...wouldn't we all ;-)
