Why doesn't anyone understand biracial hair?! To Caucasian or Asian people, you have kinky hair. To African-Americans, you have "good hair". But at the end of the day, no one knows what the hell to do with it.
Does anyone else get sick of people telling you to straighten your hair?

I've never been told to straighten my hair; instead, everyone seems fascinated with my curls.
Not that it would have mattered either way- I'm too damn lazy to straighten my hair all the time. ^^;

As a child I hated my hair because I didn't know what to do with it.
Nowadays, I love it. (I *still* don't really know what to do with it, though! *laughs*)
My hair is [almost] shoulder-length. I wet it, put in a little gel...and then leave it to its own devices.
Some days the curls 'dry' really good -- the whole style turns out big and wild and quirky. <3
And some days they don't. When they don't, I just pull it back loosely for a natural look.

Hmmmm...I've been thinking about it lately and have come to the conclusion that my love of my hair probably has something to do with loving *myself*.
I'm a dorky, artsy kind of person. As I grow older, I'm finding that I'm really actually quite fond of the person that I am.
And that includes my wild, all-over-the-damn-place hair. ;)
