Hey, I am really sorry that people around you aren't so understanding. There ARE people who are mixed and just like you. I am really really light for example and have indian heritage. People in my family have intermarried, and I must say if you live in a big city, like New York, you won't have any problems. Most of our problems I think, are inner problems. You just have to be cool about how you look. People can see through to the heart, and that is something we, people of different ancestries, are working on all over the world. I think it would help to have more mixed friends! I have a few and it's great! You feel like you belong!
I feel as if you've written something similar to what I was aiming to post. Both of my parents are biracial but neither strongly identifies as such instead identifying most with the black community. Still, it is bothersome when people constantly ask questions about our background or simply assume we're Hispanic (the most common assumption). I've recently moved from the city to rural New England and questions have only increased - funny because I expected the opposite (I don't know why.). At the same time, the number of mixed people I encounter has increased. It really does help to find people encountering similar situations to yourself. Anyway, I don't want to ramble but I felt I could identify with your post.
