So... I plan on getting my tattoo done in about a week or so. I need people's input... Thanks in advance for any opinions :)

I think the main thing you should think about is, does it have true meaning to you? I truly hope you're not going to get a tattoo just for the hell of it. You have to remember that this is something you will be living with for the rest of your life.

It's also not cool to take other people's tattoo designs because they may have spent ALOT of time to create it so it has special meaning to them.

I wouldn't go for the star because that is so overdone, everyone has that now. DON'T GET FLASH, be unique.

The first tattoo isn't really unique either but if you like it and it has special meaning to you, go for it.

I think it's rather unique, I've never seen anyone (besides one person) with it. It does have quite a bit of meaning for me anyway. I know what I'm getting into here, I've been thinking about it since January. And yes, this will be my first one.

i would go with the black outline first, then you could always fill in with color later, and see just waht colors you want. that's just what i would do, i say always give yourself options with tats or peircings, cuz they're gonna be there forever.
