Standing alone, each is sad enough. If this doesn't mean the end of time is near, what does it mean?

Yeah, as far as this legislation goes, the Republican Congress is pushing through as much bullshit as they can while it's not immediately endangering their political life, since it's not an election year.

I'm tending to focus more on the bad. I think that's because I listen to the news, and that's all there is on it.

Media.. what sells frankster15 April 3 2005, 09:27:52 UTC
The media seems to think that all we want to hear is negative so it's no wonder you focus on the negative. The media is also trying to influence is by the shows and the news to cause us to be more immune to some of these issues. With that, repetition of viewing we become more and more numb to issues that we once valued as our moral or political standings. The media has more power over us than I care to imagine. Watch. Look at the shows that are on now that are "reality" shows. Desperate Housewives, Survivor (the one that is testing relationships to see if they can withstand viewing and getting close to others you are stuck with spending time with "by choice" of this test), etc. Yuck ( ... )

the one you missed is today that study came out that the earth's ecosystem is about to collapse...i found this under the 'science' heading on cnn.com. i would hate to take the "terri shiavo's family says terri is trying to speak and will soon run the boston marathon" story off the front page.

Well, didn't forget as much as didn't know. Can't really miss it if it was today and I posted that yesterday. Also heard about 10 cases of pharmacists denying women birth control and morning-after pills because of moral disagreement with their use.

We're going to shit in a shitbasket.

Scary isn't it? mcaaronice April 3 2005, 09:50:40 UTC
The government is making many decisions for us which is another PRIME example of our loss of freedom!

I truly believe we are going to cause our own ending. Between government making decisions for us and (othes), ecological changes due to ignoring the obvious changes, wars, and rumors of wars... which one of you said it is getting close to the end times? Truly! Soon we will all have microchips under our skins so that there is less chance of theft and we can be located easily "if lost or kidnapped," Who do they think they are fooling?? Big Brother is watching and will be controlling our lives. We are given the positive sides to these issues which I previously mentioned but... how many of us want to be tracked everywhere we go... right or wrong? I don't and it's simply a MAJOR loss of freedom. But, hey, lets just tell the positive side and hide what is really behind all of this!?!

It was very noticable to me that there was no snow on the mountians like there used to be. We went to Grouse Mountain and on to Whistler where the winter Olympics are to be held in 2010 and they were in a drought. They had to manufacture snow so that there were slopes to practice on. This is also where some of the glaciers are melting which also was evident. It was warmer there than here. We had snow here while it was in the 50s and 60s there.

We do have a problem and if we don't do something about it now we will pay the price.
