I have a lot of respect for the members of The State as comics, or at least as funny-people. One of my favorites has always been Thomas Lennon (Jim Dangle in "Reno 911!", and monkey-torturer), but something I found out just cut him down a bit. On a related note, Carlos Alazraqui (Officer Garcia), I realized a while back, but verified tonight, was the voice of the Taco Bell dog.

Well, DUH. EVERYBODY knew that. He was also the voice of Mr. Weed (Peter's boss at the toy factory) on Family Guy. Before he got killed off.

I can easily explain why they wrote those non-funny movies:

Their real senses of humor wouldn't ever make it into a big budget movie. It's called "selling out" or "payin' the bills". I assure you that NEITHER of them think the Pacifier was a funny movie.
