So on our last trip to Little Rock, AR, Victoria and I saw the Arkansas School for the Deaf (ASD) and more importantly, found out what their unfortunate (fortunate?) mascot is. Well... it would be a lot of work, but you could found a charity to specifically help out people in the situations you're talking about. I don't want to be discouraging, but it occurs to me that you would be in a situation, since there are so many in need, where you would have to have a long waiting list too. Of course this might not fit within your time limit either.

This is true. And it would involve weeding out those who really need it as well. I've already seen one medical help provider non-profit (GetCare) go under, and that's just in the time I've been working. I don't know why they went under.

I think it's continuing at the old drawing board.

I don't know you (you are on Jody's friend page and I know him... although I don't always like to admit it) but if you are interested in law and social services, you should check out the Legal Aid Society- we help people with receiving disability, receiving other public benefits, filing bankruptcies, evictions, foreclosures, all kinds of public housing problems, divorces when there is domestic violence etc etc. In Louisville the number is 584-1254- but there is a Legal Service provider that covers every county in every state in the United States- plus all Indian territories, Guam and the Virgin Islands. We usually can use students- if you are interested!

Thanks Molly. I might try that. I'm not a student right now though, and have no idea which law school I'll be going to when I go, though.
