Vision Express customer service wins again

So, today I took my (Oakley) sunglasses back to Vision Express because I thought there was supposed to be a bit of etching on the edge of the lens to obscure some of the visual distortion at the lens edge. Their Oakley specialist agreed there should be and will contact Oakley, likely to have a new pair made entirely correctly. He seemed somewhat ( Read more... )

Good to know. I was recently trying to decide between a few of the different high street shops for having some spare sunnies made up; I'll pop Vision Express at the top of my list.

Hmm. Googling the OTDE thingy, it sounds like they're saying traditional lenses in wraparound get really wide at the edges, enough to poke you in the face, so they reduce the thickness there to make them more comfortable. But then they're useless as lenses in that region so they frost the glass so you can't see through that bit. (But presumably they look just as cool from the outside...)

Did I miss something there?
