National Tyres pricing, wtf?

So, I feel like my car needs new rear tyres. I am usually a fan of National Tyres, since they've done me very well in the past, especially for some urgent work. However, their pricing is quite out of line with everyone else. I did consider them, but they didn't seem to have the tyre I was after, and their selection is somewhat eclectic.

Now they do seem to have it, and if their catalogue simply has a typo of a load class 98 (rarely seen...) instead of the correct 97, then their cost is £162. National Tyres is still out of whack there.

Noted for future reference.

For the types of tyre I was interested in, they are competitive but not exceptional.

I didn't realise they would organise fitting at a local garage, so that is more useful than I thought they would be. I will consider them next time.

In the end, Halfords were competent. The staff also complimented me on the low price I got for the tyres :)
