so it looks like I might have to go off-campus next year. Too bad I didnt ever want to and my parents told me they wouldn't pay for it if I did. Fuck you reslife!!
at Purdue, they dont tell us if you can and cant live in the dorms. I will sign up to live there for first semester and then when i check out in december they will find someone to take my place because there will definitely be people looking for a different room. how come your reslife is being so lame about it?
this is for next year, the apt and suites selection is over a two day period and everyone gets a random time with seniors getting the earliest, then juniors, etc. Our earliet time was for the second day and there were only like 14 apartments left after the first day. So there were none left and juniors cant take up all the dorms cause freshmen and sophomores are required to live on campus, nor would i really want to live in a tiny box with common showers again. Ya so basically there's no room for us on-campus so we're going off. But my parents are ok with it...as long as we don't live right next to the ghetto where the party houses are (which I wouldn't want to eaither). So ya, it's probably even better since Im studying abroad in the spring so I wont end up paying for housing when Im not there. Plus it's a looot cheaper to live off campus. I'm thinking it'll be a fun time, I'll be with my 3 roommates now. I'm feeling a lot better than I was yesterday, but reslife still sux for having a messed up housing selection proccess

Im glad everything is working out. But wow, its the opposite here, you cant get an apartment if you want to study abroad cuz you have to leave for a year and it would be stupid to pay for the whole year when you wont be there for it. Thats why I have to live in the dorms next year. 3rd year in a row. Plus the parents dont want me living in an apartment anyways.
