six of the people going to the School of the Americas Watch including myself just OWNED student council. we used a half an hour of their time informing them of why we are a good organization to fund and why this trip is so important. erica was especially amazing! we got our allotment raised from $150 to $450. YES. YES! TAKE BACK THE SYSTEM!

update: i am not giving up on spanish, and want to go abroad still. in fact, i am now thinking about a more intense study abroad program where i will actually take geography courses in spanish ( Read more... )

last night as i was falling asleep i could hear the trains in dover. that's how quiet maine is; you can hear the trains in another state.
