You've got a year. Has your aunt said you could stay with her? If that's not a problem...

Have a long think about it. Do the math with the money you have and the costs--there might be a time when it's cheaper to fly there than some other time. Rates from US to Japan (or Japan-US) change from $2000 in the expensive season when everyone has holidays, to $1100 some other times. That was a few years back, it's probably more now. But that's a very big price difference.

It might be possible to do both the trip and finish your studies. And... I don't know how your family situation is. Possible to get some money as holiday gift if they know how much you want to go?

My aunt invited everybody, so no problem at all! :)

Now, you are quite right about *when* to fly. You see, as Australia is the farthest from my country, I imagine that even the cheapest rate is going to be quite expensive... (that reminds me... I shall ask my aunt how much did she pay...) The problem is, while I can travel almost whenever I like (student jobs are like that :), my sister doesn't. So the date may depend on her...

And there is the money problem, of course. Our parents could help us, but not very much. In truth, I do not think they are going to help us... or me, at any rate. They want me to finish my career and work *seriously*. Ejem... No more crazy travelling, I fear. :/

Personally I vote for you going to Australia. You're at an ideal stage in your life for experiencing such an adventure - you're finishing school, you haven't buried yourself in a career yet, and you don't have children or a spouse that you need to take into consideration. Such adult responsibilities can wait - go travel while you still have the freedom. Okay, maybe this isn't practical for you to do but ( ... )

Thanks for you advice! It's very much appreciated...

I, personally, agree with you, if only because I'd really like going Australia. Certainly, this is the best moment; I've finished all my career subjects, so I would not lose any classes; and still I'm not working seriously... That can't be, until I finish my PFC, which I must do at home. And what you say it's true: after you start working, you have the money, but no the time. Although you could still escape... not with only a backpack, but still, a little suitcase... ;)

Anyway, my problem now is I have not enough money, but what I really need is to pay the fly; after we will see, won't we? :)
